How do I apply and prepare for a ministry trip?

Step 1: Complete an online application and submit the deposit of $500.

Step 2: Once your application has been processed we will email you a confirmation email. In this email we will explain what documents are missing, all required documents, and general information about preparing.

Step 3: Once we have received and reviewed your references and you have been accepted, we will email you an acceptance package that will include all the information you will need to prepare for the trip. 

Step 4: It is now your responsibility to carefully and thoroughly read through the acceptance package and follow the instructions to prepare for the trip. Information included in the acceptance package is booking flights, obtaining eVISAs, COVID-19 test requirements, vaccinations, etc.

What is covered in the cost of a trip?

The trip cost includes round trip airfare from one of 4 major airports in the U.S. when flights are booked in advance.  Also included is your hotel room (double occupancy), travel insurance via the airline, the cost of daily meal (breakfast), and all ground transportation.

What is not covered in the cost of a trip?

The trip does not include travel cost to and from the hub city airport that you are leaving from, personal spending money, the cost of daily meals (lunch & dinner), snacks and beverages, gratuities where appropriate (waiters, bus drivers, housekeeping, etc.), passport and eVISA fees, COVID-19 testing fees for entering the country (where applicable, if not vaccinated), country exit tax (if applicable), and ALL current immunizations (documented) where required.

Can I upgrade my ticket to Business or First Class?

Yes, you will however need to pay the difference in price of what the standard flight would cost. Please notify the GKMA Administration team at: gkmalliance@gmail.com prior to booking.

Can I have a single room on the trip?

Usually no, but exceptions can be made. Roommates are an important part of the trip and we don't want you to miss out on that fellowship. We will consider making an exception depending on room availability and hotel accommodations. You should email us at gkmalliance@gmail.com and explain the reason you would like the single room. Of course, if it is approved, you will be responsible for the additional cost that will occur.

Can I arrive late, leave the trip early, or stay later than the rest of the team?

Usually no if your visa is connected to one of our sponsors. If your visa is not connected, we can discuss individually.

Does Global Kingdom Mandate Alliance offer a scholarship for ministry travel?

No, there are no scholarships available for international ministry trips.

Can I receive donations for a trip?

Yes. Tax deductible donations can be made on your behalf up to the date the trip departs. All donations will go to Global Kingdom Mandate Alliance and are non-refundable. Please have donors include your name and trip by attaching a note. Donations can be made through

As you raise support, please notify donors that all donations will go to Global Kingdom Mandate Alliance and are non-refundable if you decide not to go. GKMA will attempt to apply donations in the manner requested and directed by the donor. Instances where donations would go to GKMA and applied at our discretion, would include, but not limited to receiving donations after the trip commencement date, receiving donations exceeding the trip balance, or cancellation of the individual's trip.  

Do I need training before attending a trip?

Yes, training is required and details will be provided in the acceptance package.

What are the age limits for trips?

18 or older

What vaccinations do I need to get?

We highly recommend the following website http://wwwnc.cdc.gov/travel/destinations/list regarding what type of vaccinations or medications to take when going overseas. If there are required vaccinations we will let you know in the acceptance package.

Do I need a passport?

Yes. You will need your passport BEFORE you can apply for any international ministry travelDue to recent changes in the law, processing time for passports can be extremely slow.   All U.S. team members are required to have a valid passport.   Application forms to apply for a passport are available at post offices. Currently, United States passports are valid for 10 years. If you do not have a passport you may need to pay for expedited processing. If you need to expedite your passport, call Swift Passport Services at 1-877-917-9438.    The GKMA Administration Team will provide information on applying for your eVISA(s) in the acceptance package.

Are there fees for checked bags?

There have been changes to airline policies and flights. Most domestic flights are charging for  checked baggage. Most international flights allow 2 checked bags and a carry on.  If you have a cost for checked baggage over the allowed, you will be responsible for the cost. You will pay for your baggage when you check-in at the airport. Please check with your airline for baggage allowance and costs. Global Kingdom Mandate Alliance is not responsible for any damaged baggage. Also, if you want an advance seat assignment, you will also be responsible for the cost.

What is the cancellation policy?

If you are not selected for the trip, your deposit will be refunded minus initial charges.  If at any time before the trip you cancel, It is your responsibility to cancel your flight arrangements with the airlines, they will determine if your airline ticket can be refunded or credited. 

COVID-19 Cancellations: If you choose to cancel because of the uncertainty of COVID-19, Global Kingdom Mandate Alliance's cancellation policy still applies. If you cancel because you have COVID-19 and cannot recover before the trip, GKMA will review your situation and transfer any money to an upcoming trip. We may ask for medical documentation for confirming illness. If for any reason, a team member cancels within 30 days of departure the monies paid will be forfeited.  In addition, you will not be refunded monies that Global Kingdom Mandate Alliance has paid out of your behalf to secure hotel, bus, and food service reservations. If for some reason you cancel your trip within 4 weeks of your departure date or after your airfare has been purchased. Any amount over and above the deposit, airfare, late cancellation fee, and reservations that are not donations will be refunded to you by check.   For all other details, reference your acceptance package.
